DOCTRINE
What We Believe at the Colectiva

One God.
We affirm the triunity of the Godhead. The oneness of God is understood as a benevolent, omnipotent, omnipresent, sovereign, infinite Creator of the Universe without beginning nor end having been revealed to creation as Father (unbegotten), Son (begotten), and Holy Spirit (proceeding from the Father and Son).
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10, 44:6; John 10:30, 14:26; Colossians 2:9; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
In accordance with these scriptures, we affirm the oneness of God:
Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one!
(Deuteronomy 6:4)
Throughout Scripture, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are revealed to the Church as sharing the same divine substance and existing within the triunity of the Godhead. Being one perfectly unified in nature, authority, and identity: the Father (unbegotten), the Son (begotten), and the Holy Spirit (proceeding from the Father and the Son).
I and the Father are one.
(John 10:30)
For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form.
(Colossians 2:9)
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.
(John 14:26)
We believe in the absolute oneness of God, as the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. This oneness is not a contradiction but a divine mystery, emphasizing the triunity and indivisibility of the Godhead:
Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: 'I am the first and I am the last, and there is no God besides Me.'
(Isaiah 44:6)
'...Before Me there was no God formed, and there will be none after Me.'
(Isaiah 43:10)
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.
(2 Corinthians 13:14)
Empowerment of the Holy Spirit
We affirm that in the modern age, believers are called to seek and receive the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is given to guide, empower, and equip the Church for its mission, enabling believers to manifest spiritual gifts and live a life in accordance with God's will.
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance.
(Acts 2:4)
Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.
(John 14:12)
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
(Galatians 5:22-23)
We also affirm the empowerment of the Holy Spirit as an ongoing, transformative experience in the believer's life. The Holy Spirit equips and empowers believers for ministry, enabling them to bear the fruit of the Spirit, operate in spiritual gifts, and live in holiness and power.
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.
(John 14:26)
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.
(Acts 1:8)
Gifts of the Spirit
We affirm that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are vital to the life and mission of the Church. The Holy Spirit empowers believers with a variety of gifts to build up the Body of Christ, bring glory to God, and minister to the world. These spiritual gifts are given according to God's sovereign will and are to be exercised in love and unity for the common good.
Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.
(1 Corinthians 12:4-7)
Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly: if prophecy, according to the proportion of his faith; if service, in his serving; or he who teaches, in his teaching; or he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
(Romans 12:6-8)
For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, and to another the effecting of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues.
(1 Corinthians 12:8-10)
As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever.
1 Peter 4:10-11
Water Baptism and The Eucharist
We affirm that both water baptism and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit are essential elements in the journey of a believer. They are not mere rituals but significant components that mark the beginning and continued growth of the Christian walk.
We affirm that water baptism is an act of obedience and identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Through immersion in water, believers publicly declare their faith and commitment to follow Christ, signifying the cleansing of their sins and a new life in Him.
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
(Matthew 28:19)
Peter said to them, 'Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.'
(Acts 2:38)
'Surely no one can refuse the water for these to be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we did, can he?' And he ordered them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.
(Acts 10:47-48)
Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.
(Romans 6:4)
We affirm the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist, believing that in the sacrament of Holy Communion, Christ is truly present under the forms of bread and wine (Matthew 26:26-28; Luke 22:19-20; 1 Corinthians 10:16-17).
This sacred mystery is not merely symbolic but a profound means of grace, where the faithful partake in the life of Christ and are united with Him and with one another in the unity of the Spirit (John 6:53-56; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29).
As the Church gathers to celebrate the Eucharist, we proclaim the Lord's death until He comes, recognizing this sacrament as a foretaste of the heavenly banquet and a means of spiritual nourishment, renewal, and communion with our Lord. (Matthew 26:29; Revelation 19:9).
Continued Sanctification
We affirm that the journey of a believer is marked by continued sanctification, a process of becoming more like Christ throughout one's life. Sanctification is not a one-time event but an ongoing transformation empowered by the Holy Spirit.
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
(2 Corinthians 3:18)
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
(2 Corinthians 5:17)
Coming to Know Christ as We Are
We affirm that the journey of a believer is marked by continued sanctification, a process of becoming more like Christ throughout one's life. Sanctification is not a one-time event but an ongoing transformation empowered by the Holy Spirit.
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
(Ephesians 2:8-9)
As believers, we embrace the truth that sanctification is a continuous process, and we come to know Christ through an authentic and transparent relationship, recognizing that He accepts us as we are and guides us toward a life that reflects His character and love.
Five–Fold Ministry
We affirm that all believers, are called and gifted by the Holy Spirit for various ministries within the Church.
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
(Galatians 3:28)
It will come about after this that I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; And your sons and daughters will prophesy, Your old men will dream dreams, Your young men will see visions.
(Joel 2:28)
In light of these affirmations, we encourage all believers to seek the empowerment of the Holy Spirit for their ministries and to recognize the equal value and potential of every member in the Body of Christ.
Within the Colectiva, this belief in the equality and giftedness of all believers is integrated with the Fivefold Ministry. We affirm that apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers serve in accordance with the leading of the Holy Spirit, regardless of ethnicity, status, or background. This ensures a Spirit-led, unified, and dynamic approach to ministry, where every believer's potential is recognized and nurtured.
And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.
(Ephesians 4:11-13)
APOSTLES
Apostles are visionary leaders called to plant and establish ministries, offering apostolic oversight and providing guidance for the Church, building and expanding the work of the Kingdom with a focus on unity and new territory.
And He gave some as apostles...
(Ephesians 4:11)
PROPHETS
Prophets bring divine revelation, encouragement, and direction from God, guiding the Colectiva and aligning it with God’s purposes and mission.
But one who prophesies speaks to men for edification and exhortation and consolation.
(1 Corinthians 14:3)
EVANGELISTS
Evangelists are called to share the Good News and lead people to faith in Christ, empowering the Church to reach the lost, disciple new believers, and bring transformation to communities.
But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
(2 Timothy 4:5)
PASTORS
Pastors shepherd and care for the community, providing spiritual nurturing, counseling, and teaching, demonstrating Christ’s care and reflecting an inclusive approach to shepherding.
Shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God.
(1 Peter 5:2)
TEACHERS
Teachers provide sound biblical instruction and deepen the understanding of God’s Word, building a strong foundation of faith and fostering spiritual maturity in all believers.
Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such we will incur a stricter judgment.
(James 3:1)
Second Coming
We believe in the imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, a pivotal event anticipated in theological eschatology.
Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done.
(Revelation 22:12)
For this reason you also must be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.
(Matthew 24:44)
The promise of His return is rooted in scriptural truth, providing both hope and a sense of urgency for the Church.
Miracles, Signs & Wonders
We believe that miracles, signs, and wonders are a demonstration of God’s power and a manifestation of His presence, confirming the message of the Gospel and bearing witness to the reality of His Kingdom. These divine acts are expressions of God’s grace and love, serving to build faith, heal, and glorify the name of Jesus Christ. We affirm that these works of the Spirit are for the present age and continue to be available to believers today.
These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.
Mark 16:17-18
...while You extend Your hand to heal, and signs and wonders take place through the name of Your holy servant Jesus.
Acts 4:30
God also testifying with them, both by signs and wonders and by various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit according to His own will.
Hebrews 2:4
